by Dr. Sahbi Aloui, Applications Laboratory and Dr. Thomas Haenel, sales manager Tire Technology Expo is a global event that brings together technical and academic professionals from the tire industry every year. As a leading international platform, Tire Technology Expo 2020 featured the latest product launches and innovations from national and international exhibitors and a number of interesting presentations. Despite the current economic situation and sustainability requirements, the tire industry is looking at the future with confidence. In addition to interests in new raw materials, fillers and additives, focus has been on optimizing processing and recycling processes. Bio-based rubber materials and environmentally friendly additives were presented. Eco-design, eco-efficient processing and manufacturing processes were discussed. The end of life of tires and the valorization of the recovered raw materials from recycling processes were the subject of intensive discussions among experts. Quality assurance and environmental compatibility of raw materials, intermediates and end products remain essential in all phases of this process to reach the next milestone for sustainable growth. NETZSCH took part in the Tire Technology Expo 2020 with representatives from the Analyzing & Testing and Grinding & Dispersing business units. NETZSCH Trockenmahltechnik GmbH and Mr. Christian Höfels presented the topic of “Efficient Fine Grinding of rCB with Fluidized Bed Jet Mills” for the recovery of carbon black from old tires. It showed how broadly and sustainably the entire NETZSCH company has positioned itself in all business areas. Furthermore, our partner in the Rubber Testing Alliance, the company Alpha Technologies, was again represented with us at a shared booth. Their products, such as the RPA (Rubber Process Analyser) also met with great interest from the trade public. Our DiPLEXOR® for simultaneous dynamic-mechanical and dielectric analysis also attracted a lot of attention among booth visitors. The presentation about the simultaneous DMA and DEA measuring method on elastomer composites was given by our application specialist Dr. Sahbi Aloui. Afterwards, several interested people came to the booth to get more information about the considerable advantages of this simultaneous method compared to the single methods. Read more on the DiPLEXOR® here! As we celebrate 5 years of High-Force DMA EPLEXOR® at NETZSCH Analyzing & Testing, our existing and potential customers were informed about the special offer for the NETZSCH EPLEXOR® 500 N Jubilee 5.
